Woollahra Council is working towards creating a truly accessible and inclusive community for everyone. We're developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) for 2026-2030, and we're asking our local community to share their insights. Your feedback will help shape our draft plan.
Tell us your ideas by completing the online survey or easy read survey available below or come along to our community workshop or one of our drop-in sessions. Complete the survey by Sunday 14 September and you will go in the draw to win an iPad. Find out more below.
Overview
Woollahra Council is developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) for 2026-2030.
This Plan will set out Council's commitment to break down barriers and ensure people with either a disability or accessibility challenges associated with ageing can participate in all aspects of local life – from using our services and facilities to enjoying our vibrant community events and finding meaningful employment.
We are committed to building on our past achievements and have partnered with Physical Disability Council of NSW to support us with this project. Now, we want to hear from you. Whether you live with a disability, are a carer, a family member, or simply passionate about a more inclusive community, your lived experience and perspectives are invaluable.
Tell us:
- What's working well in our community for people with either a disability or accessibility challenges associated with ageing?
- What challenges do you still face?
- What innovative ideas do you have to make our area more welcoming and accessible?
This is your opportunity to help shape a community where everyone belongs and can thrive.
To comment on specific spaces you can view a list of spaces owned or managed by Woollahra Council here.
