What is a Delivery and Operational Plan?

    Our Delivery and Operational Plan is the agreed program of works that Council staff will undertake to ensure we meet our statutory requirements and the priorities and goals adopted by Council.

    Why is Council writing a new Delivery Program and Operational Plan?

    An annual Delivery Program and Operational Plan is a statutory requirement for all NSW councils and is governance best practice. It is a transparent way for Council to communicate to Council and our community what we have achieved and what we plan to do.

    When does the adopted Plan come into effect?

    The adopted Plan comes into effect 1 July 2020.

    How does this impact me?

    The Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan affects residents because it sets out the provisions of Council's services. 

    When does Council start working on the next four-year Plan?

    We anticipate we will start working on the fourth year of the four year Plan in March 2021, for adoption in June 2021. Then, in 2022, we will being preparations for a new Community Strategic Plan and related consultation. The new CSP will inform the next four-year Plan. 

    Why should I make a submission?

    Submissions are voluntary, and it's up to each person to decide whether to comment. 

    We encourage you to read the Draft document and give us your feedback.

    The coordinator for submissions is Ms P Duffy, who can be contacted Monday to Friday on 9391-7085 between 8.30am and 11.00am

    Please note, we can provide general guidance; however, Council staff are not in a position to comment on the merits of the Draft or any objections.


    What happens to the comments I make?


    All submissions received will be considered by Councillors at a meeting on 22 June 2020, before a final Draft is adopted at the following full Council meeting.

In accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW), Council is required to allow inspection of all submissions received by Council in relation to submissions.
