Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015 (Amendment 13)

Submissions to this public exhibition have now closed.

At its meeting of 29 September 2020, Council approved the Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015 (Amendment 13). Read the full Council resolution here.

The amendment introduces new terminology, definitions and numerical controls in relation to courtyard housing for rear additions to single storey buildings within the Paddington Heritage Conservation Area. The Paddington Heritage Conservation Area, as shown on the map below, is identified within the Woollahra LEP 2014.

The approved amendment inserts the following provisions into the Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015:


Paddington Heritage Conservation Area

The new planning controls for courtyard housing in the Paddington Heritage Conservation Area came into effect on 12 October 2020.

The public exhibition was open from Friday 10 July to Friday 21 August 2020.

    Starting from 12 October 2020 planning controls for courtyard housing additions in the Paddington Heritage Conservation area will be inserted into the Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015.

    This is the last stage of finalising the Woollahra Development Control Plan (Amendment 13) which was adopted by Council at its meeting of 29 September 2020.

    A report on the submissions made during the public exhibition of the draft DCP will be considered by Council’s Environmental Planning Committee (EP) on Monday 7 September 2020, commencing at 6.00pm.

    In line with current safety measures, Woollahra Council will be holding this Committee meeting remotely using conferencing technology.

    This meeting is open to the public and interested parties may address the Committee.

    Submissions are now closed. The pubic exhibition period ran from Friday 10 July to Friday 21 August 2020. Council's Strategic Planners are now reviewing submissions received and preparing a report for the Environmental Planning Committee.
