We're exhibiting Draft Woollahra Development Control Plan (Amendment No. 33) related to electric vehicle provisions.
Council would like to update provisions in our local planning controls to further support electric vehicles. To address this, a draft development control plan has been prepared which is on public exhibition from Wednesday 29 January 2025 to Sunday 2 March 2025.
Proposed Amendments
At its meeting of 16 December 2024, Council resolved to exhibit amendments to the Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015 (Woollahra DCP 2015) to update electric vehicle provisions.

Public exhibition
The Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015 (Amendment 33) seeks to update electric vehicle provisions and is on exhibition from 29 January 2025 to 2 March 2025.
The amendments to the Woollahra DCP 2015 aim to:
- Update existing provisions to reflect increased knowledge and new technology in the electric vehicle sector;
- Update electric vehicle terminology to align with the language used in the relevant Australian Standards and regulations, and industry best practice; and
- Update and insert new controls to support the installation of fast chargers, or the infrastructure to support charging and fast charging capability, where appropriate.
The draft amendment seeks to amend Chapter A1 (Introduction), Chapter A3 (Definitions), and Section E1.11 of the Chapter E1 (Parking and Access) of the Woollahra DCP 2015.

A hard copy of the exhibition material is available at the Woollahra Council Customer Service area, 536 New South Head Road, Double Bay – 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
All submissions received during the exhibition period will be considered by Council.
