Grants Policy and Guidelines adopted by Council

Council met to consider changes to the Grants Policy and Guidelines on 26 June 2023. The updated Grants Policy and Guidelines were adopted and the meeting minutes show a record of the resolutions.

Public exhibition of draft Grants Policy and Guidelines

Council reviewed the Grants Policy and Grant Guidelines in 2022 resulting in a single Grants Policy for all of Council's Grant streams as well as creating a single set of guidelines to simplify the grants process. Council committed to undertaking a further review of these documents, after 12 months of application. This review was undertaken in February/March 2023 and reported to Council in April 2023.

The draft Grants Policy and Guidelines included a new Grant stream called Business Sector Support and was publicly exhibited from 26 April - 24 May 2023. Feedback was collected via an online form. Other ways to provide feedback included:

All submissions and comments made before the closing date were considered in preparing the final report, which was presented to Council for consideration on 26 June 2023. An action following the the public exhibition included to clearly define the term "Business Sector" in the Draft Policy. These changes appear on page 3 and page 8.

Applications close 30 July 2023. It is anticipated that recommended applications will be reported to council in September 2023.
