10 months agoStrickland House - arts, community hub
We could develop Strickland House as a community art centre along the lines of Hazelhurst, Gymea. It would combine community arts, conference and meeting spaces, venue hire, artist in residence and link to council and city art hubs. As there is space for other activities there could also be a mens shed and permaculture and other types of horticulture around the building. Access is an issue but a small wharf near the House could help, as could more and smaller buses for anticipated larger crowds and good signage for ppl who might walk from Watsons Bay.
