Local Government Week 2019: Your Community, Your Say

Consultation has concluded

It's Local Government Week, and we're encouraging our local community to explore the different ways they engage with Woollahra Council.

Why are we doing this?

Council makes decisions that affect the lives of residents and people who work in and visit Woollahra. In our 2018 community satisfaction survey, you told us that providing opportunities for community involvement in decision making was a top indicator for your overall satisfaction with Council.

Council's most important strategic document is the Community Strategic Plan. Informed by our community, it sets out our goals and priorities, and directs our operational plans. Our current CSP, Woollahra 2030, will be updated next year following the election of a new Council.

While next year sounds a ways off, it's important for us to engage with you early. Our aim is for the CSP to reflect the diverse needs of our community, so we're preparing a community engagement strategy to ensure we hear from as many people as possible.

To help us create an effective engagement strategy, we'd like you to tell us how you prefer to:

  • hear from Council about engagement opportunities
  • have your say on matters that are important to you.

How are we doing this?

There are three ways you can share your views.

  • We'll be out and about in Woollahra this week -- stop by, take our short survey and have a cupcake. Check out the Key Dates on the right hand side of this page to find out where we'll be and when.
  • Not able to get to us this week? Take our short survey online. The survey closes at 5pm on 3 August.
  • Register for Your Say Woollahra to take part in any open Council engagement project. It s a quick, easy and secure way to have your say on matters that are important to you. All you need is an email address.
