The new multipurpose courts at Christison Park are now open to the public – thank you for your feedback on this community-enhancing project.

Christison Park has some shiny new hoops -- including Woollahra's very first community netball courts.

Two multi-purpose courts have replaced the existing basketball-only court in the north east corner of the park, meaning not only can everyone have a go at dribbling, free styling and slam-dunking, but also Goal Attack, Centre Pass, and Shooting.

The new courts cater for both basketball and netball, and have sports lighting to allow for extended play in winter. Casual play is still permitted, but now there is also the opportunity for schools and sports groups to book the courts for practice and training.

Details of the plans and a range of images can be found through the links on the right of the page.

A report on the community consultation undertaken for this project went to Council's Finance, Community and Services meeting on Monday 19 August 2019. From that report, a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the project was conducted and approved, with construction taking place between April and August 2020.

The courts are now available for use by the general public and bookings are available Monday to Sunday between 7am – 9pm. Bookings can also be made via our Recreation team on 9391 7000.
