Update November 2025: The NSW Government announced the Oxford Street Revitalisation Project will replace the Oxford Street East Cycleway project.

Background

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) in 2023 proposed a new separated cycleway on Oxford Street, between Taylor Square and the entrance to Centennial Park known as Paddington Gates. The proposed two-way cycleway would connect to the Centennial Park Cycleway, which has been completed, and the Oxford Street West Cycleway, which is being delivered by the City of Sydney.

In February 2023 TfNSW asked for community feedback on early designs for the proposed cycleway and have summarised findings in an Early Feedback Report.

Pop-up information sessions were help in Paddington on 29 July, 5 and 9 August 2023.

Feedback closed Monday 14 August 2023.
