Why is the User Agreement being renewed?

Community garden groups in our area sign user agreement contracts with Woollahra Council and report to Council about their activities. Periodically Council is required to review the licence agreement and request feedback from the community.

Where is the garden located and when was it established?

The garden is located at Quarry Street Paddington, behind the Palms Tennis Centre in Trumper Park.

The garden was established in 2009.

What does the garden consist of and will there be any changes to the size or function of the garden?

The garden site is fenced and includes individual garden plots, communal plots, a rotunda, shed, pergolas, rainwater tank, pond, worm farms, seed raising area and compost hub.

The community garden group intend to continue with similar activities and programs that have been running in the same area since 2009.

Who is responsible for the garden?

The garden is run by Paddington Community Garden Inc. Most members live in the surrounding areas of the garden. More information about the Garden group, its activities and membership can be found on their website and Facebook pages.

Who can use the garden and how can I get involved?

You can apply to become a member of the garden through Paddington Community Garden website. Applications for new members are open in July each year. As with many Community Gardens, there are requirements to attend workshops and working bees to be eligible for membership. The garden also hosts a range of events each year that are open to the community. You can keep up to date with events by viewing Paddington Community Garden website and Facebook page.
