Tell us what you love about your local playground

Play is an important part of growing up and we think playspaces in Woollahra should be fit for everyone.

That's why we're developing a new Playspace Strategy to make sure our playgrounds are safe, accessible and age-appropriate for everyone who uses them now and by future generations.

Our strategy will:

  • identify the best design, use, location and development of play spaces
  • reflect the needs and expectations of our community
  • provide a master plan to facilitate delivery of new and upgraded playspaces.

There were a number of ways people could provide feedback during the community engagement period of this strategy, they include;

  • dropping into a workshop at Double Bay Library
  • taking our online survey
  • Filling out a survey on site
  • sharing your playspace story.

Thank you for those who provided feedback and for helping to make sure our playspaces continue to be community places where people of all ages come together, interact and enjoy the outdoors.

Council officers are currently working on the Strategy, alongside the Recreation Needs Study. It is expected that the two documents will be presented to the community at the same time.

Tell your story

The community playground has always had an important place in Australian culture. Many of us will look back on our childhood with fond memories of playing on the slides and swings with friends and family. Please take a moment and tell us, what is your fondest playspace memory?
