Overview

Council recently exhibited a draft update of the Woollahra Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2022, which contains a revised works schedule.

The proposed amendments are contained in the Woollahra Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2022 (Amendment No 3) (Draft Plan).

Section 7.12 contributions are used to fund local infrastructure projects.

Feedback were sought on the proposed amendments from Friday 9 May 2025 to Tuesday 10 June 2025.

About the draft amendment

Section 7.12 (previously 94A) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 allows councils to impose, as a condition of consent, a requirement that the applicant pay a levy of the percentage of the proposed cost of carrying out the development. For Council to impose a condition under section 7.12, a contributions plan must be in place.

The Draft Plan currently on exhibition will amend the current Woollahra Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan 2022 (Amendment No.2) to include an updated works schedule.

The Draft Plan applies to the whole Woollahra Local Government Area.

Helping to fund public infrastructure

Section 7.12 contributions are used to fund local infrastructure projects. These projects are listed in the work schedule of the Draft Plan.
