Overview

We have prepared a draft Environmental Sustainability Action Plan, which details the work we will undertake in the next five years to protect and enhance our local environment and improve sustainability.

Council first adopted an Environmental Sustainability Action Plan in 2013, and the Plan has directed our work over the last 10 years. A new draft Environmental Sustainability Action Plan 2023-2028 is presented for your feedback.

It includes targets and actions covering the following priority areas:

• Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation,
• Water Quality Improvement,
• Biodiversity Conservation, and
• Waste Reduction.

It also details how we will engage with and provide education to our community about environmental issues and living more sustainably.
