We upgraded the Lyne Park playground in Rose Bay in 2024 and we'd love to hear what you think.

Transforming this valuable community space into an exciting playground that aims to provide inclusive, imaginative and flexible recreational experience for all ages and abilities was our top priority.

The playground was designed based on community feedback. We used these ideas to help deliver the playspace and equipment includes a range of new play equipment along with tables and benches that accommodate wheelchairs.

Now that the playground has been open for just over a year, we are checking back in with our local residents and visitors to Rose Bay to make we understand what your experience has been like as a park user.

We’ve invested a lot in designing and constructing Lyne Park Playground and we’ve had lots of anecdotal feedback and it would be really helpful for us to know what the play experience is like for you, your family, neighbours and friends.

Your feedback on this specific playground is valuable and it will help us continue to shape improvements in other playgrounds and ideas for new play spaces.

Some of the new play equipment includes:

  • Double flying fox
  • Four bay swing with seven types of swings suitable for a variety of ages and abilities
  • Sensory area with xylophone, drums and mirror
  • Water-play zone
  • Nature play area for older children and inter-generational recreational experience
  • Bike track with bridge
  • Pirate ship
  • A flying boat - a playful nod to the site’s history as the former Rose Bay International Airport - for climbing, piloting and imaginative play

We're keen to hear from children as well as adults who visit the playground, and we encourage parents and carers to incorporate feedback from their children in their survey below.

Share your thoughts by completing the form below. Feedback closes Tuesday 10 March.
