In consideration of the heightened use of the Rose Bay Promenade during lockdowns, Stage 3 works on the cycleway were postponed from July 2021 until April 2022.

Construction of the separated bi-directional cycleway section along the Rose Bay Promenade will soon commence on Monday 4 April 2022 with a target completion by early July 2022, weather permitting.

During construction, the Promenade footpath will be closed with a pedestrian detour in place. The Salisbury Road bus stop will also be temporarily closed with passengers redirected to the nearest stop. All work will be completed during the day, with low levels of noise, minimal excavation and no tree removal.

When complete the new cycleway will form part of a critical east-west cycling connection, improving transport options for all and linking several of our open recreational spaces, including Lyne Park and the Rose Bay Promenade.
