Construction to commence on the Double Bay to Rose Bay Cycleway

24 February 2021

Construction will soon commence on the new cycleway, with works carried out in three stages throughout 2021. Click here to view corflute signage that has been recently installed along the route or browse the image gallery to see new photomontages.

Stage 1 of the project will involve footpath widening to facilitate a shared path between William Street, Double Bay and Regatta Restaurant/Rose Bay Marina, and between Lyne Park and Norwich Road, Rose Bay. Works will begin from mid-March 2021 and take up to eight weeks, weather permitting.

Stage 2 consists of intersection upgrades at Gladswood Gardens and St Mervyns Avenue from mid-April 2021. Works are expected to take up to four weeks, at each of the intersections.

Stage 3 will see a separated bi-directional cycleway installed adjacent to the pedestrian pathway along the Rose Bay Promenade. Please note: We have postponed Stage 3 works and will confirm new start dates following advice from NSW Health on current public health orders.

For more information on each of the stages see the main section of this page above.
