Have your say on the future of Council's Grants program in Woollahra
Woollahra Council offers a range of grants each financial year to support the community.
These are:
- Community and Cultural Grants
- Environmental Grants
- Placemaking Grants
Council's Grants program seeks to support programs or projects that work towards a connected, liveable, vibrant and creative community in the Woollahra LGA.
We have now developed a single Grants policy for all Council's Grant streams as well as created a single set of guidelines to simplify the Grants process. The Draft Grants Policy and the Draft Grants Guidelines will provide an overarching framework governing the allocation of grants by Woollahra Council. We are now seeking your feedback on the draft documents, via a short submission form below, before Friday 24 June 2022.
Council commenced a Grants review process late last year with the aim of reinvigorating our Grants programs and encouraging a broader range of applications across program streams. The review process included surveys with past grant recipients, consultation with Councillors and various stakeholders, as well as a review of other Council’s Grant programs, and a review of the learnings from the recent Revitalisation Grants.
One of the key objectives of the Draft Grants Policy and Draft Grants Guidelines is to provide a more empathetic approach to grant making and reduce barriers for community members, community organisations and businesses to apply.
Webinar
On Tuesday 14 June Vicki Munro, Woollahra Council's Manager Community and Culture, discussed the draft Grants policy & guidelines and outlined the proposed new grants process in a live webinar. We invite you to watch a recording below.
