Local heritage listing of ‘Hillcrest’ at 780-786 New South Head Road, Rose Bay

Woollahra Council has exhibited a planning proposal seeking to list ‘Hillcrest’ 780-786 New South Head Road, Rose Bay [SP 30455], including interiors and gardens, as a local heritage item in Schedule 5 of the Woollahra Local Environmental Plan 2014.

Heritage listing will seek to provide the ongoing protection and recognition of the heritage significance of the site, including interiors and gardens.

Council has been authorised to use its delegation under section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to approve the LEP.

    A report on submissions made during the public exhibition of the planning proposal will be considered by Council's Environmental Planning Committee on Monday 13 September 2021, commencing at 6pm.

    Woollahra Council will be holding this Committee meeting remotely using conferencing technology.

    This meeting is open to the public and interested parties may address the Committee or submit written correspondence.

    • To register to address the meeting (register by Monday 13 September 2021, 12pm)
      Email your name, mobile number and the item you are interested in to records@woollahra.nsw.gov.au or by contacting the Governance team on (02) 9391 7001.
      Once registered, we will provide you with a link, phone number and code to enable you to join the meeting. This will be emailed to you on the day of the meeting.
      There is a limit of 3 minutes per speaker and each speaker much register individually.

    The public exhibition period ran from Wednesday 13 June 2021 to Friday 6 August 2021. Council's Strategic Heritage Officers are now reviewing submissions received and preparing a report for the Environmental Planning Committee.
