Update
Unfortunately this Inter-war Mediterranean building designed by F. Glynn Gilling has now been demolished.
From December 2019 to June 2021, the property was under the protection of two successive Interim Heritage Orders (IHO) issued by the Minister the Hon. Don Harwin MLC.
The intent of an IHO is to provide time for the investigations into the heritage significance of the place to be undertaken. These investigations concluded that the property was of local heritage significance.
However, an appeal was filed with the NSW Land and Environment Court and subsequently the second IHO was revoked in May 2021. Without the protection of the IHO, the building was demolished.
Notwithstanding the outcome, we thank you for your submission and your contribution to heritage conservation in Woollahra.

Local heritage listing will ensure recognition of this item's significance, as well as its protection through ensuring any future modification proposals are assessed against heritage provisions in the Woollahra LEP 2014.
The planning proposal has proceeded through a public exhibition phase and a draft LEP is now being prepared to amend Woollahra LEP 2014. The Council has been authorised by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to make the LEP under section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
Thank you to everyone who made a submission on this planning proposal. The exhibition period is now closed but you can still view all of the exhibition documents on this page.
The public exhibition was open from Wednesday 16 September 2020 to Friday 30 October 2020.
