Grimley S. Pavilion & Sydney Croquet Club

Woollahra Council invites your comment on a planning proposal to amend the Woollahra Local Environmental Plan 2014 (Woollahra LEP 2014). The planning proposal seeks to list the following as heritage items:

  • George S. Grimley Pavilion including interiors and forecourt on the southern side [part of Lot 1319 in DP 1222163] in Woollahra Park off O’Sullivan Road, Rose Bay
  • Sydney Croquet Club including interiors, moveable items, lawns, timber shelters and a number of significant trees [part of Lot 1319 in DP 1222163], in Woollahra Park off O’Sullivan Road, Rose Bay.

The heritage listing will provide ongoing protection and recognition of the heritage significance of the items. A detailed description of each proposed heritage item and its heritage significance is contained in the supporting documents to the planning proposal.

The planning proposal will proceed through a public exhibition phase and, subject to the Council’s decision after considering submissions, a draft LEP will be prepared to amend the Woollahra LEP 2014. Council has been authorised by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to make the LEP under section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
